Restores the original surface of down-filled garments and leaves a patented, durable and environmentally friendly finish.
Shake the bottle, pour 75 ml into the fabric softener compartment and then wash according to the manufacturer's guidelines for the garment. For optimal performance, use Storm Down Wash in the detergent compartment in the same wash cycle. Ensure the item is completely dry in a tumble dryer and has been fluffed well during drying.
Many down-filled items have a DWR treatment on the outer surface to protect both the user and the down filling. Wet down is worse than no down at all. After a while, the DWR begins to age and lose its water-repellent properties. The item needs to be re-waterproofed when water no longer beads up on the fabric. Waterproofing can be done at home by the regular user with a simple wash-in product. Our ECO Down Proofer is designed to be used in the same wash cycle as Down Wash, saving water and energy.
ECO Down Proofer requires tumble drying. Dry longer than expected and pause the drying to manually fluff up the item and ensure that the down is evenly distributed throughout the garment. Ensuring that down-filled items are completely dry helps with performance and reduces the risk of smelly down. This impregnation is also PFC-free and is considered the product of choice by many brands and environmental reports for its ecological status.
