Shake the bottle and pour 75 ml into the detergent compartment. (If the garment needs to be waterproofed, use a suitable Storm Proofer.) Wash according to the manufacturer's care instructions for the garment.
Technical garments have a membrane and DWR coating that ensures the garment performs at its highest level and does not absorb water/become wet. DWR performance can be reduced due to dirt, sweat, grease, detergent and general use. Dirt and debris accumulate on the surface and in the microscopic pores of the fabric, which can reduce breathability and water repellency. Therefore, it is important to keep the garment clean to ensure that it performs as intended.
Proper cleaning revitalises the fabric without damaging any active DWR treatment. Using regular household detergents is not suitable for caring for technical outerwear, as they can damage the DWR treatment on the garment. They contain many compounds that are not beneficial to performance, such as bleach, colour brighteners, enzymes and perfumes.
