“AS A PARENT, THE GOAL IS TO BRING THE FAMILY ALONG INSTEAD OF GOING OFF ON YOUR OWN.”
HANS OLSSON — FORMER OLYMPIC ALPINE SKIER
For Hans, life outdoors has always been a natural part of everyday life. Skiing, cycling and staying active have been with him for as long as he can remember, but today it's less about performance and more about sharing those experiences with his family.
“The best thing about skiing is that it's the ultimate family activity,” Hans says. “The kids love it, and it's something we can all enjoy together.”
After years of World Cup racing, championships and travelling the world, his priorities have changed.
“As a parent of young children, the goal is to bring the family along instead of heading off on adventures by yourself,” he says.

His love for the mountains and an active lifestyle remains as strong as ever, but today it's driven by enjoyment rather than competition.
“Maybe it's more the fear of having a day where I don't do anything,” Hans says with a laugh.
The best days are often the simplest – cold winter mornings, spring sunshine in the mountains and time spent outdoors with his family.
“When my daughter taps me on the arm and says, ‘Come on, Dad, let's do one more run.’ That's got to be the ultimate dream.”
When it comes to outdoor clothing, his priorities are clear.
“Fit comes first. Then design, and finally function.”
